Having somewhere safe to
store small bottles and
containers in a bathroom is
most easily solved by
installing a bathroom cabinet.
In the UK there is such a
range of light and
temperature throughout our
seasons that medicines and
cosmetics could be
compromised if they are
stored on a window sill or
bath ledge.
Within a handsome cabinet
mounted on the bathroom
wall, items stored on shelves
inside are easy to reach, easy
to see and it’s easy to notice
what is running low and needs
replacing soon. Small pots,
jars and bottles stored on a
shelf are more secure and
don’t suffer the same damage
as when they are relegated to
a drawer where they can be
subject to knock and bumps
that could damage the
containers and destroy lids
and caps.
A cabinet that has a light
means you can see quite
clearly any item you lift out
from it without having to
squint or wander nearer a
window to check what it is.
Safety, practicality and good
looks all come with an
illuminated bathroom cabinet
and some even have
concealed shaving sockets as
an integral part of their
design.
In smaller bathrooms, the
illusion of space comes from
good lighting, lighter colours
and the lack of clutter in a
streamlined decorative style.
Keeping bottles and jars out
of sight but near to hand is a
practical way of reducing
visible clutter and having an
illuminated light as part of the
package in a bathroom
cabinet ensures a bright
space that creates a feeling
of ‘airiness’. |
