In the UK most bathroom
suites and shower rooms
have white fittings. While you
might be able to mix and
match the taps and handles in
a colour of your choice the
bath, basin and toilet are
probably white.
As such, white bathroom wall
lights are sure to coordinate
with the bathroom suite and
very often – the white tiles on
the bathroom walls.
Bathrooms are used daily in
every house, yet they are
often only smallish rooms.
Making the most of a small
space can be achieved by
effective storage, sleek
design and coordinated colour
throughout. Small doesn’t
mean you have to sacrifice
style – all you need to do is
be aware of the function of
pieces and the practicality of
their arrangement. White also
allows you to ring the changes
as it is an excellent foil for
any other colour. Towels and
containers in bright colours or
soothing neutrals will provide
the mood you want. Being
plain, you can introduce
patterns into a white scheme
and go ethnic, funky or
fashionably trendy in a quick
inexpensive move when
everything else
coordinates.
White bathroom lights will
match with other white
elements and any ‘dirt’ can
easily be seen and removed
to keep your bathroom
pristine and immaculate
looking. An elegant globe will
bring a touch of class to a
bathroom and LED lights the
size of tiles could be arranged
in rows to bring a spa feel to
the room. A bathroom might
be used in a rush but it might
also be a haven where you
languish in steamy self-
indulgence so it is worth
making the most of it - even if
it is small and white. |
