Security Garden Lights for Peace of Mind
If there is anywhere in this world where we should feel secure, it’s in our own home but, sadly, this isn’t always the case unless, of course, you have installed security garden lights. Whilst security lights won’t solve the ills of the world, the chances are the will deter intruders. If you got security lights yet, now is the time to give them serious consideration.
By far the most popular form of security lighting are sensor PIR lights, these are the type of lights that are activated by movement. Yes, it can be a pain when they’re activated by the local cats, but you can look on that as a proof they are working! PIR security wall lamps are designed to be fitted by the entrance to your home or by your front door so that they are activated as soon as anybody enters your territory. An added benefit is that there will be no more struggling to find your door key by feel when you get home late.
If you already have garden lights and don’t really want to purchase a whole new set of lights, there are other options open to you. PIR sensors are available as standalone units, which enable you to transform ordinary garden lights into security garden lights. The other alternative is to add a timer to the power supply of your garden lights, setting it so that the lights come on at night and switch off automatically in the morning.
Another option would be solar powered lights; however, you should be aware that these are only efficient during spring, summer, and autumn in the northern hemisphere. In the wintertime, we simply do not get enough sunshine to make these a truly viable option for security lighting.
Whatever security lighting option you decide to install, a good first step would be to take a look at our wide range of security garden lights now.
