What would ancient man have made of solar garden lights? The technological advances made in recent years are so many and varied that, sometimes, we can become blasé but, if you stop for a moment and see solar powered lights through ancient eyes, you too will be blown away. What is this magic that stores the power and light of the sun, only to release it when darkness falls!
Truth is, solar lights are miraculous even by modern standards; they’re mobile, require no cabling, they come on exactly when you need them to, and they’re economical, costing nothing to run. Oh, they don’t drain the earth’s resources either.
Of course, nothing is perfect and in the northern hemisphere solar powered lights are only truly efficient for nine months of the year the British winter isn’t really conducive to using solar power. However, most sensible people are tucked up cosily inside their home during the winter months!
