Move on Up to Bathroom Downlights

Bathroom downlights will give a whole new feel to your bathroom and, the truth is that most new bathroom lighting schemes involved downlights in one form or another.

By choosing low voltage lighting for your downlights you will be taking care of the pennies and ensuring the safety of your loved ones (or anybody else who happens to use your bathroom!). If somebody has the misfortune to sustain an electric shock, far better that it is from 12 volts than 240 volts. For more about bathroom safety, see our bathroom lighting zones information page.

There is an alternative nowadays to the 12 volt transformer in terms of economy in GU10 bulbs. These lamps consume approximately 7 watts, despite running from the mains, and the light they produce is the approximate equivalent of that produced by a 35 watt halogen bulb.

Of course, for the sake of your self-image, you should still invest in some bathroom mirror lights to release your inner beauty!

Bathroom downlights are the sensible, good-looking way to illuminate your bathroom; don’t be left behind!
