Track lighting is
becoming a
popular choice in many UK
households for providing low
voltage lights in a range of
rooms, including sheds and
garages. There are numerous
kits and systems that are
easily installed that will
provide functional illumination
and make sure those bills for
lighting remain low.
With spotlights and lamps that
are easily adjusted, track
lighting systems can have a
bulb pointed directly to the
area you wish to have lit.
Tracks might be
straight or
curved, bars or
rods or
perhaps a plate that could be
any shape from which an
integral conduit tube feeds the
wires to the lamps. For more
traditional settings there is
track lighting with
decorative
shades in
conventional styles.
In a contemporary décor
there are track lighting lamps
that range from delicate high-
tech looks to theatrical stage
spotlights, industrial style
lamps and sophisticated
shades to complement
modern surroundings.
Foyers and large hallways are
another are where track
lighting can make the most of
the space and illuminate
corners or highlight features
on display there. The lamps
could be directed at a
stairwell, if you have one, the
front door and maybe a
potted plant, a console table
or an interesting piece of
artwork on your wall. There
are a number of different
designs for track lighting with
two lamps or up to four or
five lamps that can be
adjusted to suit your
purposes.
Take time to think about what
it is you want from your
lighting and remember that
the track lamps provide
individual beams of light, not
a general pool that you might
be used to with a central
ceiling light. |
